West Garfield Park: Teen shot in the head

A 16-year-old boy was critically wounded in a shooting in West Garfield Park on Wednesday morning, according to Chicago police.

He was shot in his head by someone in a passing white van around 4:20 a.m. in the 3900 block of West Jackson Boulevard, police said.

He was brought to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No other information was released.
