Henry Cavill is reportedly back on set filming his role of Geralt of Rivia on the third season of Netflix’s “The Witcher” series, according to Redanian Intelligence.
Reports in late July indicated that production on the series had halted abruptly while its lead star Cavill had allegedly tested positive for COVID.
At the time, the streamer confirmed the pandemic-related delay and said the production: “will be up and running as soon as it is safe to do so”. Filming resumed a week later with various actors on set, but not Cavill.
Now though, he’s back out there in a new season in which monarchs and beasts are all set to hunt Ciri down, whilst Yeneffer and Geralt travel to Aretuza in order to discover the extent of Ciri’s powers.
The major sequence of the Thanedd coup from the fourth book in the series will be a part of the new season. That battle involves an attack between mages during one of their conclaves. Almost the entire cast of the series will be involved in the sequence.
The third season of “The Witcher” is expected to air sometime next year.
