The United States Air Force Air demonstration squadron the “Thunderbirds” practice during the team’s inaugural winter training trip at Spaceport America, New Mexico.
The trip provides the team a month of airshow practice in different conditions and terrains.
Posting pictures of the crew and aircraft after just a week of training the Thunderbirds wrote on Twitter: “Winter training trip is a go! If the team’s looking this sharp in week one, just wait until the season starts.”
The Thunderbirds perform across the globe at air shows and flyovers, with pilots demonstrating the capabilities of the Air Force’s multi-role fighter jet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
The demonstration is a mix of six aircraft performing formation flying and solo routines.
